Annual Numerology Planning and Upcoming Reiki Class
"Researchers suggest that only 9% of Americans that make resolutions complete them. In fact, research goes on to show that 23% of people quit their resolution by the end of the first week, and 43% quit by the end of January." ~ Why Most New Year's Resolutions Fail, fisher.osu.edu, 2023.
Given the above statistics, it seems that most resolutions are not in alignment with each individual's Numerology cycle. I suggest we stay in the natural flow of our life energy and turn our attention to where we will get the most support to achieve progress each year.
For 2024 (as with any year), to find your personal Numerology for the year use your birthday along with the current year as follows.
For example, if you were born on May 10th use the date 5/10/2024.
Add all of the single digits: 5 + 1 + 0 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 4
The total is 14.
Add those single digits together: 1 + 4
(repeat until the result is a single digit.)
For someone born on May 10th, their Personal Year Numerology for 2024 is 5, and this number's energy is the guiding force on what to focus on this year.
Below you will find summaries of the themes of each year to help give you an idea of what this year will look like for you. The Personal Year Numerology Cycle flows over 9 years.
Personal Year 1
Keywords: Individuality, Independence, Beginnings
A Personal Year 1 is the beginning of the 9 year cycle. This is the year to get started and move toward a big goal that could take you 9 years to achieve. Clarify what you want. Be courageous and assertive. Act confidently. Embrace your individuality. Set your intentions. Plant your seeds this year and give them time to germinate.
Personal Year 2
Keywords: Relationship, Cooperation
A Personal Year 2 is more about attraction than it is about action. Let the seeds that were
planted last year start to germinate under the surface. Be open to receiving information and
working with others. Don’t force anything this year. Go slow and be patient. Focus on close
relationships and strengthen friendships and partnerships. Don’t expect to see results from last year’s efforts just yet.
Personal Year 3
Keywords: Expression, Joy, Entertaining
A Personal Year 3 is an expressive year, and has an outward, social vibe to it. This is a year to
express the joy of living and experience the pleasure and happiness of life. Take time to develop your creative talents and accept the many invitations to events you may receive, but be mindful not to overindulge in meaningless pursuits. Some seedlings and flowers may start to bloom in the garden you started in Year 1.
Personal Year 4
Keywords: Limitation, Order, Practical
A Personal Year 4 is a work-oriented year. Time to settle down from the expressive social life in the 3 year and get back to focusing on movement toward your goals. Work out the details of your projects and strengthen any weak areas of pursuing your goals. Be more practical and
grounded this year and a little less woo-woo. Tend to your garden and work out a watering
schedule so the plants that are growing can thrive. Clear out any weeds or weak seedlings that are not going to make it.
Personal Year 5
Keywords: Freedom, Change
A Personal 5 Year is the year to change up some of the routines from last year so you can feel a little more free, but don’t throw caution to the wind. Make the changes constructively. Keep your eye on your goal while you change things up and new opportunities might present themselves outside of your ordinary routines. This is a year for traveling and taking on unusual ventures. Learn something new; expand your horizons. Welcome new situations, new people, new places, but don’t scatter yourself. Change is inevitable and might not be initiated by you. Be ready to grow from the changes. The garden should be well established by now, and you can let it do its thing.
Personal Year 6
Keywords: Responsibility, Family
A Personal Year 6 has an emphasis on the home and family or close community. It is a year
oriented toward being of service, yet do not allow yourself to be a doormat or martyr.
Focus on deepening romantic relationships and know that the more love and affection you give, the more that will be returned to you. This is a good year to feng shui your home. Weed the garden and make sure all the plants are taken care of.
Personal Year 7
Keywords: Analysis, Understanding, Faith
A Personal Year 7 is a time for inner development and spiritual expansion. This is the year to
look inward for answers and spend time reflecting on the last 7 years. You can reflect farther
back in time, however, do not remain in the past. Learn from it and move forward. This is a year to develop your meditation practice, strengthen your intuition, and/or learn psychic practices. This is another year not to force forward movement toward those big goals. Wait for the developments to reveal themselves to you. Enjoy the silent beauty that the garden provides.
Personal Year 8
Keywords: Achievement, Material Satisfaction, Financial Opportunities
A Personal Year 8 is the year to harvest the crops and take them to market. This year provides
a lot of work opportunities and has the potential to lift your financial income. You will have to work for it, but work will pay off. Be careful not to burn out by taking all of the jobs that come toward you, however, this is the year to make great strides forward. Act with the self-confidence that was gained in the 7 year and go for that goal you started 7 years ago.
Personal Year 9
Keywords: Humanitarianism, Selflessness, Completion
A Personal Year 9 is the garage sale year. It is time to tie up any loose ends, let go of anything
that will not benefit you moving forward, and make preparations for the next cycle. Clean out
your closets literally and metaphorically. Don’t start anything new, however you can start to
prepare for next year. Clean out the garden, compost the plant material, and prepare the soil for the next season’s crop.
If you have never worked with your Personal Year Numerology before, I suggest using this year as an experiment. Find what the theme for this year is for you, and align your resolutions and goals with it. See how this year goes for you, and note at the end of the year whether this helped guide you and if the goals and resolutions were easier to achieve.
If you have used it before, I'm curious as to how/if it has helped you. Let me know.
Also, I have an upcoming Jikiden Reiki Shoden Class on Feb. 10-11 and you can find more details and register here.
